around the kitchen table: crafting connections

This exhibition by artist Clarissa Long explores the connection between making and communication, using jewelry and clay to reflect on cultural memory. Rooted in the artist's mixed-race heritage, the work focuses on the quiet power of shared gestures around a kitchen table. Visitors are invited to participate by creating their own dumpling pins to add to a collective installation. The exhibition features air-dry clay pieces formed with traditional cooking techniques like kneading and crimping. It is held at the Craft Council of BC on Granville Island.
